Justin Baldoni has taken further legal action against ‘It Ends With Us‘ co-star Blake Lively, now also accusing her husband and actor Ryan Reynolds of bullying.

Baldoni’s legal team has accused Reynolds of basing the ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘ character Nicepool on his likeness, with claims that the character was designed to mock him.

According to People, Baldoni’s lawyers sent a litigation letter to Disney CEO Bob Iger and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige on January 7. The letter demands the preservation of all documentation referencing Baldoni for potential court use.

The letter specifically requests evidence related to the development of Nicepool, stating Baldoni’s team is seeking records from the production that could suggest a “deliberate attempt to mock, harass, ridicule, intimidate or bully Baldoni.”

Reynolds has not publicly addressed the accusations, and neither Baldoni, Reynolds, nor Disney have responded to media inquiries from E! News.

The speculation around Nicepool’s inspiration began circulating on social media after Lively filed her initial complaint against Baldoni with the California Civil Rights Department (CRD) last month. The character, described as a “faux feminist” with a man bun—similar to Baldoni’s signature hairstyle—fuelled comparisons online.

Complicating matters, Lively encouraged her followers to support ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘ despite its release closely coinciding with ‘It Ends With Us‘.

Adding to the controversy, Reynolds was credited in the ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘ end credits under the pseudonym “Gordon Reynolds.” The same alias appeared in the credits for ‘It Ends With Us‘, further linking the projects.

The dispute between Lively and Baldoni continues to escalate. Lively formally sued Baldoni, his company Wayfarer Studios, and associates in late December, citing harassment, retaliation, and other claims. On the same day, Baldoni and his team filed a defamation lawsuit against The New York Times, alleging it misrepresented the allegations against him.
