
Drivers of the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC), who ply the route from Portmore to downtown Kingston, have withdrawn their services following the stabbing of a driver by a passenger.
Police reports are that a male passenger reportedly requested a stop at an area that is not a designated bus stop. The driver reportedly refused, resulting in the passenger stabbing him.
The condition of the driver is unknown as he is currently undergoing treatment at hospital.
Members of the public are being advised to expect delays following the incident.
They are also being encouraged to use alternative measures of transportation where possible.
