After almost 30 years of operation, local retailer K-Ban Hardware Limited answered the call to venture into the Corporate Area with the official opening of its newest premium showroom on Saturday (July 22).

This new showroom is located at Unit 4U in the Village Plaza off Constant Spring Road in St Andrew. It boasts a Click and Mortar concept, aligned with the company’s mandate to enhance its e-commerce platform at www.kbanltd.com where customers can easily shop online and request islandwide delivery or opt to pick-up in store.

K-Ban has four full-service locations. Two are located in Linstead at 22 King Street and Lot 2 Rosehall. There are also another two locations in Savanna-La-Mar at 50 Great George Street and Dunbar’s River

The company boasts a full e-commerce platform on its website, which allows customers to browse, add to cart, checkout and have delivery right at their doorstep.

The Village Plaza location will operate as a showroom that focuses on a premium line of tiles from the Roca and Incepa brands, flat pack furniture & modular kitchens from GenialFlex and BRV, as well as Tramontina homeware items. The showroom ties back into their e-commerce platform giving the customers a chance to interact with products that they may be interested in purchasing online.

Tej Banhan, CEO of K-Ban Hardware Limited is elated that the high quality service offerings will now be further expanded to satisfy the hardware and finishing demands of Jamaican and Diaspora markets.

“K-Ban is a well-known and well-loved brand in the communities which we have been serving for almost 30 years, and, we believe the time has now come for us to offer our high quality products and services to customers in the corporate area,” Banhan said.

“K-Ban strives to provide excellent customer service within the retail space providing customers with the best value-added products available at affordable price points. We maintain a wide range of inventory – and our customers can rely on our full service locations to be able to provide the products that they need. We also provide solutions for supplying special orders for our customers’ unique needs,” he said.

Banhan also noted that he is proud of how the business has grown from solid foundations as a ‘mom and pop’ into a chain-store style company which employs approximately 150 full time staff, and an additional 50 contracted persons.

The space at Village Plaza will be outfitted to showcase their products in such a way that will inspire customers to embark on their own design and furnishing journeys.

“At this location, we will assist our customers through their selection process, completing the transactions digitally with our e-commerce platform – providing them with a preferred option of direct delivery to their desired location. We will also have selected items that will be available for cash and carry style transactions,” Mr. Banhan said.

At K-Ban’s full service branches customers can also shop for all their hardware needs whether it be in store or online, with the option for islandwide delivery. Their categories for shopping include: tiles, tools, construction materials, doors, windows, electrical, furniture, outdoor living, plumbing, roofing and gutters, automotive, paint, lawn and garden, knobs and cabinets, kitchen and kitchenware, fasteners, agriculture, air compressor tools and accessories, bath and faucets, chains and ropes, cleaning products and more.

Banhan said K-Ban continuously seeks to fill gaps in the market in order to satisfy consumer demands.

“People are at the heart of what we do, and our endeavours are always partnership and community oriented – in this way we are able to add value through the entire process for all”.
