Britain’s Katie Boulter captured her fourth WTA Tour crown on Saturday, battling past Germany’s Tamara Korpatsch in a three-set final at the Ostrava Open.
After losing a tight opening set, Boulter found her rhythm and flipped the match on its head, closing out a 5-7, 6-2, 6-1 victory with authority. The win caps a strong week in the Czech Republic and signals a welcome turnaround after an up-and-down 2025 season.
Now ranked outside the elite heading into the tournament, the 29-year-old will climb back into the world’s top 100 at number 84. The triumph also comes during a period of change for Boulter, who began working with new coach Michael Joyce at the start of 2026 after parting ways with Biljana Veselinovic last year.
It was a brighter note for British tennis in contrast to Emma Raducanu, who finished runner-up at the Transylvania Open after falling to Sorana Cirstea in the final.
