Kawhi Leonard is putting together one of the finest seasons of his career, helping lift the LA Clippers out of an early struggle and back into contention. 

He’s featured in 57 of 73 games so far and must appear in eight of the team’s final nine to qualify for end of season NBA awards under the league’s 65 game rule.

Aside from a short spell out with an ankle injury, Leonard has stayed on the court and delivered consistently, averaging over 28 points per game while shooting efficiently across the board. He’s also riding a 49 game streak of scoring at least 20 points, one of the longest runs in the league right now.

The 65-game rule has come under fresh debate, especially after Detroit’s Cade Cunningham having a standout season, faces missing out on awards due to injury. For Leonard, who is firmly in the All NBA and All Defensive conversation, the focus remains on staying healthy and finishing strong.
