In an Instagram post, dancehall music producer Romeich Major on Monday (March 22) expressed his desire to assist a minimum of 50 Jamaican families in need with groceries and called for other “top and
popular people” to join him in providing much-needed assistance to their fellow Jamaicans.

In the post’s image, Romeich said: “I want to help at least 50 family this week to even have some groceries in their home. All my top people and popular people and people out there looking in I know it tuff on all of us but I’m willing to accept some help to use my platform for us to come together and help my people of Jamaica that are in need!!! Notice I said in need of help!!! Who helping me DM me NOW NOW NOW. Let’s do this oneteamone dream, @romeichentertainment.”

In the caption accompanying the post, he wrote: “No matter how small (it) all adds up let’s do this!!! Let’s show them we can all work together to do greatness for persons in NEED. LETS DO THIS!!!”

No doubt recognising the difficult roads that lie ahead for families and particularly breadwinners, who depend on income from going out daily an ‘hustling’, due to the impending weekend lockdowns, the producer’s act of
philanthropy has been well received by fans and followers alike.

One follower, @bossbaby_toniia, said: “May your basket never be empty.”

Another follower, @trenzy_queen said: “mi love Romeich heart issi…up move.”

Within five hours of making his first post, the multiple dancehall artiste manager made a second post with the headline “Keep The Help Coming”, indicating that he had now surpassed his initial target of helping
50 families and was now looking to help 50 more.

He captioning this post: “THANK YOU SO MUCH. If you know me you will know I enjoy helping persons so I’m thanking you all for the help, it’s been so good and I am pushing for more help and I want you to see that together we work better and stronger so keep sending what and how you can help!!”

In a final post of the day, made approximately seven hours after his second post, he again shared his ‘Keep The Help Coming’ poster, which now suggested that he had reached his goal of aiding 100 Jamaican families in need.

This post he captioned:“Omg, so happy we raised enuff money to feed 100 families and counting my peeps we have until midday to send een donations please no matter how small I wanna get to as much family as we can thanks again to all (who) have shared this movement and for all who have donated its all love from @romeichentertainment team!!!”

Hopefully the help train can keep rolling and even more people will get help in the days and weeks to come.
