Grammy-nominated Jamaican producer Kheilstone, also known as Stone, has released “Easy Now” today, a feel-good reggae single featuring Exco Levi, Julian Marley and King Cruff.

The track is the latest release from Audovic Nation (AVN), Stone’s newly launched producer-led imprint label operating in partnership with UnitedMasters for exclusive distribution.

Rooted in live ska-inspired instrumentation and driven by an effortlessly warm energy, “Easy Now” is a record eight years in the making.

“The funny thing about ‘Easy Now’ is that I had the idea for about eight years. ” Kheilstone said.

“At the time I made the beat, I was doing a lot of reggae production, but I’ve always had a love for ska-inspired music because of the live instrumentation and the emotion it naturally evokes. When I came back across the beat on an old hard drive, I recorded a ‘ruff hook’ reference, sent it to Exco and from there, the song came together organically. Then, after hearing the record and connecting with its energy and message, Julian Marley and King Cruff naturally became part of it.”

Featured artiste Exco Levi speaks to the natural chemistry behind the collaboration: “I’ve been working with Stone a long time, it’s always a good energy musically. Stone sent me the beat with a reference idea. It bad! I liked it so I started writing some verse and there was just something about it that sounded happy. We worked on it until it sounded right.”
