Congratulations are in order for Kim Kardashian-West who shared today (December 13), that she passed the ‘baby bar’ exam, more formally known as the First-Year Law Student’s Examination.
Kardashian-West shared the good news on her Instagram page, where she penned a lengthy caption detailing parts of her journey.
The Kardashian, now one step closer to becoming a legitimate attorney, is seemingly following in the footsteps of her father Robert, who gained recognition after serving on OJ Simpson’s defence team in 1995.
“I know my dad would be so proud and he would actually be so shocked to know that this is my path now but he would have been my best study partner,” she beamed in the self-congratulatory message.

Despite the fact that her father was a very successful attorney-at-law, that did not make Kim’s journey any easier, as she stated that her law school journey was not easy nor was it handed to her.
Prior to her success, the SKIMS owner attempted the exam three times over a two-year span, and failed on all three attempts, nursing a case of the coronavirus (COVID-19) on the third attempt.
Despite her failure, Kardashian still continued to push forward.
“Bottom line is don’t ever give up, even when you are holding on by a thread, you can do it. Set your mind to it and get it done because it feels soooooo good once you get to the other side,” she expressed.
The baby bar exam is the first of two exams to be taken for one to become an attorney in California State, with the first having a much harder pass rate.
“I was told by top lawyers that this was a close to impossible journey and harder than the traditional law school route but it was my only option and it feels so so sooooo good to be here and on my way to achieving my goals,” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star said.

She thanked her attorney mentors Jessica Jackson and Erin Haney for helping her on her journey. She also expressed her gratitude to CNN commentator Van Jones, who she credits as the person that talked her into attending law school.
The Kardashian also acknowledged her school saying, “And Bar Bri Law bar prep – I couldn’t have done it without you guys.”
This news comes just two years after Kardashian-West first expressed interest in obtaining a law degree. She drew inspiration from her involvement in the case of a grandmother, Alice Marie Johnson, who was serving life in prison in Alabama for a non-violent drug conviction.
