The marriage of American celebrity power couple Kim Kardashian and Kayne West is in tatters as the reality star reportedly seeks a divorce.

According to Tuesday (January 5) Page Six article, the 40-year-old Kardashian, who’s been married to West for the last six years, has sought the help of divorce attorney Laura Wasser. The publication said that “divorce is imminent”.

“They are keeping it low-key, but they are done,” a source told Page Six. “Kim has hired Laura Wasser and they are in settlement talks.”

The separation has seemingly become more evident as Kim has allegedly been neglectful of her wedding ring, while Kanye, stayed isolated at his US$14 million Wyoming ranch over the holidays instead of spending it with the Kardashian family.

“Kim got Kanye to go up there [Wyoming] so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce. She’s done,” the source continued.

It is understood that Kim has not yet filed the divorce proceedings due to their children.

“Kim knows the marriage is over. She’s known for a while,” the source disclosed, noting that they’ve only physically seen each other “for the sake of the kids.”

Page Six further reported that the elder Kardashian is stalling because she wants to do what’s right for their four children—seven-year-old North, five-year-old Saint, two-year-old Chicago, and one-year-old Psalm West.

“She wants to make sure she’s making the right decision for the kids,” the source said.

Neither stars responded to a request for a comment.
