A man was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) Sunday afternoon after he was electrocuted while cutting a tree on Fitzgerald Avenue in Kingston.

Reports are that the man came into contact with live electrical wires while carrying out the task and subsequently fell from the tree, landing on the roof of a nearby building.

Residents who were engaged in cleanup activities as Category Five Hurricane Melissa approached assisted him to the hospital.
