

Local logistics and terminal management company Kingston Wharves is aiming to make inroads in Jamaica’s expanding tourism sector through a partnership with American company Logistics Plus, Inc.
Leveraging Logistics Plus’ supply chain solutions, Kingston Wharves Limited (KWL) will support furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) sourcing for hospitality projects throughout the island. The partnership comes at a time when new hotel construction and renovations are increasing room stock in the hospitality industry, and will contribute to elevating Jamaica’s position as a world-class business and luxury tourism destination.
“Kingston Wharves has closely observed the continued expansion of tourism along Jamaica’s North Coast, particularly in hotel development, and recognises the potential of these projects to further stimulate economic growth for the country. This joint venture with Logistics Plus—an internationally recognised and world-class specialist in FF&E for the hospitality industry—underscores our commitment to supporting national development while also reinforcing Montego Bay’s pivotal role in Jamaica’s logistics sector,” KWL CEO Mark Williams outlined.

KWL secured a 27 per cent stake in Cargo Handlers, operators of Port of Montego Bay. Williams indicated then that the acquisition signalled a strategic partnership between the two companies aimed a realising synergies and taking advantage of opportunities in the tourism sector.

Through this new collaboration, Logistics Plus and Kingston Wharves will combine their expertise to ensure that owners, investors, and their representatives are assured that these projects are executed seamlessly, efficiently, and on time.
Logistics Plus, known for its global project experience—including successful FF&E logistics programmes in the United States and Europe—will coordinate supplier sourcing, international transportation, and the collection of items from global manufacturers. Kingston Wharves Limited, with extensive experience in port-centric logistics, will provide vital in-country services such as warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfilment. As per the agreement, Kingston Wharves Limited is now a recognised agent for Logistics Plus in Jamaica, further strengthening the company’s growing global network.
