Kintyre Holdings subsidiary Visual Vibe has secured a strategic investment of US$500,000 (J$80 million) from Portland PJX, the private equity fund of Portland Holdings, led by Jamaican-Canadian billionaire Michael Lee-Chin.

“This moment is deeply meaningful for me,” said Tyrone Wilson, president & CEO of Kintyre Holdings.

“Michael Lee-Chin has been my mentor over the past two years, guiding me through some of the most important phases of my career. To now receive investment and mentorship from Jamaica’s only Forbes billionaire is both humbling and inspiring. His belief in my business model, and his confidence in what we’re building, is a reminder that we are on the right path. For us, this is a pre-IPO investment, one that recognises Visual Vibe’s continuous expansion and consistent profitability. I am elated to have both his investment and his mentorship as we keep our eyes set firmly on global growth.”

Wilson also extended his gratitude to Robert Almeida, CEO of NCB Financial Group, and Ricardo Hutchinson, chairman of Portland PJX, for their leadership and role in advancing the partnership.

The Portland PJX investment will accelerate Visual Vibe’s aggressive growth strategy, including the rollout of new billboards, upgrades to existing digital screens, and product diversification that expands advertising solutions for clients. Expansion continues across Jamaica and into the United States through partnerships such as Dalvey Media, which operates 175 advertising trucks, giving Visual Vibe a powerful mobile platform. The company is also in advanced negotiations for another US partnership in Florida, further extending its international reach.

“With the backing of Portland PJX and the guidance of Michael Lee-Chin, we are entering a new chapter,” Wilson added. “Visual Vibe is not just Jamaica’s leading digital out-of-home company – it is becoming an international contender.”
