Dancehall performer Kranium is set to headline the Sound Check stage on Thursday, June 19, for a special performance marking the series’ first anniversary.

Sound Check, borne out of a need to provide a platform for artistes to be seen in an unplugged and intimate capacity, has quickly become a staple in Kingston’s music scene. This event will celebrate a full year of impactful stagings and promises to be an unforgettable night as Kranium takes the headlining spot.

Sound Check, a monthly live performance series, continues to serve as a vital platform for both established and emerging artists, allowing fans to connect with their favourite performers up close and personal. The event is celebrated for its dedication to showcasing raw talent and creativity, making it a cornerstone in Kingston’s vibrant music culture. Since its debut with Rajah Wild, Sound Check has presented an impressive lineup including Stalk Ashley, Bayka, Armanii & Friends (Jetti, Pink Fox, ZIDII, Spida), Valiant, Pablo YG, and Skeng. The anniversary event will also feature a guest performance by reggae artiste Runkus, with other surprises in store.

In addition to the performances, attendees are encouraged to support the Shoppes at Dubwise, which features a variety of local vendors, including Veggie Campus, The Sweet Life, The Street Supply Co, and TriniYaad. These vendors add to the vibrant atmosphere of the evening, creating a unique mix of music, culture, and community.
