Lady Gaga to sing National Anthem at Biden’s Inauguration

American singer, songwriter and actress, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, also known as Lady Gaga, is set to perform the national anthem at the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden and VP-elect Kamala Harris on January 20, 2021.

Lady Gaga is known for her iconic fashion style and versatility in music and entertainment.

Gaga first performed at an open mic night as a teenager, she also acted in school plays.

Now, she was been given the honour of performing ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’, the inauguration committee announced on Thursday morning on Twitter.

Gaga previously conquered ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ at Super Bowl 50 in 2016.

Other celebrities set to perform include Jennifer Lopez, Andrea Hall (who will be leading the Pledge of Allegiance), Amanda Goman (the first National Youth Poet Laureate-who will be reciting a poem) and Father Leo O’Donovan and The Reverend Dr. Silvester Beaman, who is scheduled to deliver the invocation and benediction.

Due to the global pandemic, a virtual parade and a primetime special, ‘Celebrating America’ hosted By Tom Hanks, are also scheduled for Inauguration Day.

For musical entertainment, alongside JLO, there is Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake, Jon Bon Jovi and Ant Clemons.

The performances will be broadcast across the major news networks along with remarks to the country from the soon-to-be president and vice-president.
