Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (SVU) actor Ned Eisenberg has died at the age of 65, following a battle with cancer.

It has been reported that the actor was privately battling cholangiocarcinoma and ocular melanoma for the past two years and died on the weekend.

Eisenberg is survived by his son Lino and wife, Patricia Dunnock, who shared that he continued to work in show business in an effort to provide for his family and offset the cost of his medical bills.

“Over the course of two years, he bravely fought the cancers in private while continuing to work in show business to ensure that his medical coverage paid for himself and his family.”
