LeBron James made NBA history on Tuesday, stepping onto the court for his 23rd straight season he became the first player ever to do it. The 40 year old, sidelined for the Lakers’ first 14 games with sciatica, returned in style, dropping 11 points, dishing out 12 assists, and grabbing three boards in just 30 minutes as Los Angeles rolled past the Utah Jazz 140–126.

Already the league’s all time scoring leader, James also passed Vince Carter’s run of 22 straight seasons and climbed past Reggie Miller for sixth place on the all time three pointers list thanks to a pair of long range hits.

Luka Doncic lit up the night as well, putting up 37 points, snatching four steals, and adding 10 assists and five rebounds. Austin Reaves gave the Lakers 26 points, while Utah leaned on Keyonte George’s 34 and Lauri Markkanen’s 31.

The win lifted the Lakers to fourth in the West, while the Jazz sit in tenth.
