Anticipation continues to mount for the Age Quod Agis Sports Alumina Association (SAA) Reunion Weekend Football Showcase today (September 6), at the Wolmer’s Boys’ School.

While typically hosted in South Florida, the event first touched down at Heroes Circle in 2022 and saw the Wolmer’s team lifting the trophy before scores of patrons.

Dubbed the “Return to Heroes Circle PT. 2, today’s event features three distinct football matches that showcase talent across generations – an exciting U-14 exhibition at 1:00 pm featuring the next generation of football talent, the new “Over 50” showcase at 2:30 PM, and the highly anticipated “Over 40” Wolmer’s/Campion feature alumni match at 3:30 pm.

The football spectacle is part of the Age Quod Agis fundraising reunion weekend, which is now in its 15th year.  Since its inception, the association has donated over J$14 million directly to the school – supporting nutrition programmes, sporting equipment, medical supplies, digital learning transformation, and facility enhancements.

“We’re happy to be back at Heroes Circle this year to showcase the event at our alma mater and to further connect with the student athletes who benefit from the funds raised,” said Andre Gray, president of the Age Quod Agis S.A.A.  “We had a great turnout at our last staging and, today, we are looking for even more support.  It’s about having a great time as we support our next generation.  Today is about fun for the entire family, good vibes and energy and, of course, the friendly rivalry with our Campion counterparts who are once again onboard for the 12th consecutive year.”

This year’s staging has some additional features for patrons. The Ministry of Health and Wellness will participate through their national ‘Know Your Numbers’ campaign, which encourages individuals to monitor key health indicators, such as blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol.  PSA testing will also be available.

Adding to the weekend’s excitement, Stewart’s Motors will present their Mitsubishi Motor Zone Experience, providing attendees with an immersive automotive experience featuring the latest vehicle models and cutting-edge automotive technology.

For their part, Campion College is happy to again support the initiative.

“We’ve been participating in this event for over 13 years.  It’s something we look forward to as it allows us to reconnect with our schoolmates and bond with our peers while supporting a worthy cause,” said Julian Mair, Campion College lead and chief investment strategist at JMMB Group.

Following the football showcase, the weekend will wrap with the annual Reunion afterparty, N’dulge’, at the NHT Sports & Social Club at 4 Park Boulevard, Kingston.  The energy will be kept high by DJ Timmy HMV, DJ Narity, DJ Warrick and Ambassadors Disco.

“Every dollar raised during this weekend directly benefits student-athletes,” emphasised Gray as he underscored the sustained commitment to educational excellence and potentially life-changing athletic development.  “Our association understands that excellence in sports requires proper nutrition, quality equipment, and modern facilities – all of which require funding to help today’s student-athletes capitalise on the opportunities available.”
