Leoda Bradshaw and her three co-accused are set to return to court on July 18 for a case management hearing.

Bradshaw, a long-time partner of Member of Parliament Phillip Paulwell, was charged last year with the murder of Toshyna Patterson and her 10-month-old child, Sarayah Paulwell.

Bradshaw, David Smith, Roland Balfour, and Bjon Black appeared in court on Thursday, June 13. The media was not allowed inside the courtroom to observe Thursday’s court proceedings.

Smith, the alleged trigger man behind the murder of the mother and daughter, and Black have reportedly now acquired legal representation.

Smith is being represented by Franklyn Grenyion, while Black is being represented by Tamika Harris.

The prosecution is seeking the death penalty on Smith.

Reports are that Smith sent photos of the mother and child to Bradshaw at her request after committing the murder.

Smith was charged in January in connection with the murder of the mother and daughter. Smith and Bradshaw are among five people charged with the abduction and murder of Sarayah and her mother on September 9, 2023.

The mother and daughter were reportedly last seen standing at the gate of their Gilmour Drive premises in St Andrew around 7:00 am.
