Lifespan appoints Melissa Fagan new CFO

Melissa Fagan has been appointed the new chief financial officer (CFO) for Portland-based spring water company, Lifespan Limited.

With Lifespan’s accomplishments and rapid growth over the years, the company has been building a strong team as the brand continues to be better known to assist in the growth of the company,  

Having moved from the position of acting CFO which she held from November 2019, Melissa Fagan now holds the top job in finance.

She is experienced in strategic planning, budgeting and corporate finance. She is recognized as an accomplished leader with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Holding a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration (Hons) — Accounting Major from the Northern Caribbean University, and an Associates of Science in Business Studies (Credit) from the Institute of Management & Production, a CPS/Certified Administrative Professional from Elathos School of Business, Fagan is currently in pursuit of Level Ill ACCA.

Her career to date sees Fagan with over 13 years in accounting and 9 years experience with multinationals including IBM. She has also worked with  the local Powertrac- Caterpillar Dealer as well as the UGI Group Ltd. and Tyre King Ltd.

Her core competencies of expense control, accounts receivables and payables as well as international business analysis has served Lifespan well as it as plans to be listed on the junior market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) next year.
