Over 48 schools are registered to participate in the 2023 Little Caesars Jamaica Independent Schools’ Association (JISA) National Preparatory Schools Track and Field Championship, June 15-17, 2023, at the National Stadium, Kingston.

The longest running prep school meet in Jamaica spanning over 45 years, the event was the early stomping ground for several sprint champions including World and Olympic 400m champion, Sanya Richards Ross, shot put thrower O’Dayne Richards, and 400m sprinters Jaheel Hyde and Akeem Bloomfield.

This is the third consecutive year of sponsorship by Restaurant Associates Limited (RAL), franchisees of Little Caesars Pizza, Burger King, Popeyes and Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

Addressing officials, students and guests including Olympian Anthony Davis, at the launch of the meet on June 6, 2023, Nadia Kiffin Green, head of sales and marketing for Restaurant Associates said “Our athletes or as we at Little Caesars call them our Little Geniuses have gotten yet another opportunity to showcase their diverse and unique talents.”

“Little Caesars seeks to promote and support any initiative that aids the positive development of our country and in particular our young and future generations.  We are a brand that prides ourself in nation building and one key way to build our nation is to support our young ones,” she continued.

Kiffin Green noted that “like last year when Little Caesars sponsored prep champs and we brought excitement and prizes, this year will be no different. Look out for exciting activities and prizes as we connect with you in a way that only Little Caesars can.”

Expressing pride at the “track record of the prep championships”, Kiffin Green reminded “over the years over eiight Olympians have started their illustrious careers at prep champs. Make no mistake, Jamaica is the home for Champions and there could be no better partnership than JISA and Little Caesars through the highly anticipated 2023 Little Caesars JISA National Preparatory Schools Track & Field Championship”.

“I look forward to a great meet and championship where we can discover the great talent of our Little Geniuses through track and field and other events. Looking forward to a wonderful demonstration of fair play and sportsmanship. Let’s make this year one to remember”, she encouraged.
