Little Caesars has announced its $300,000 sponsorship of the 2024 Ali Cole Jr Cup.
The anticipated football tournament, organised by the Green & Yellow Organisation, kicked off on Thursday, August 15 and will crown its champion on Saturday, August 17 at the Excelsior High School in St Andrew.
The competition features 20 teams from the Inter-Secondary Schools Association’s Manning Cup and DaCosta Cup football tournaments.
Speaking to principals, coaches, players, and students at the launch, Little Caesars’ Brand Manager, Tiffany Wiggan, emphasised the franchise’s dedication to supporting sports and youth development.
“This fourth staging of the Ali Cole Jr Cup is not just a football tournament, it’s a celebration of community, talent, and the unifying power of sports. Our sponsorship reflects Little Caesars’ commitment to fostering positive growth and development of young athletes, preparing them for a brighter, stronger future,” Wiggan remarked.
“By supporting events like this, we are helping to nurture the talent of today so they can become the champions of tomorrow.”
The Ali Cole Jr Cup is a prestigious pre-season youth football tournament, offering young athletes an exceptional platform to showcase their skills and sportsmanship. Little Caesars’ sponsorship will be allocated toward prize money and meal vouchers, ensuring participants are well-supported throughout the competition.
Wiggan urged the players to seize this opportunity: “This is your moment to shine, to embody the spirit of sportsmanship as we celebrate the memory of Ali Cole Jnr. Let’s make this year’s Ali Cole Cup one to remember, filled with exhilarating competition.
Throughout the three-day tournament, spectators can look forward to an exciting atmosphere with engaging activities, fantastic prizes, and, of course, delicious Little Caesars Pizza.
