On Thursday, April 30, Dancehall powerhouse Aidonia delivered a commanding and unforgettable performance at Usain Bolt’s Tracks & Records at Marketplace, St. Andrew, as the headline act for the highly anticipated Appleton Estate Live Wire event.

The energy inside the venue was electric as hundreds of fans packed the iconic entertainment hotspot for an immersive night of premium music, vibrant culture, and exceptional performances.

Starting his performance just before midnight, Aidonia, well-known for his lyrical precision and commanding stage presence, thrilled patrons with an explosive set packed with fan favorites, chart-topping hits, and high-energy delivery that kept the audience engaged from start to finish.

After delivering hits such as Bad People, Empty, Trigger Work It, Run Road, Anyweh at All, and Fi Di Jockey, Aidonia elevated the moment even further. Removing his lemon-coloured jacket, the stage lit up with spark effects as his mentee Govana made a surprise appearance to perform their hit single Breeze. Govana also energised the audience with his track Mawning Sir before exiting the stage, allowing Aidonia to continue commanding the spotlight.

Backed by the dynamic Ruff Kutt Krew and the signature Appleton Estate experience, Aidonia’s performance further solidified Live Wire as one of Jamaica’s premier entertainment showcases.

Earlier in the evening, rising star Amanyea set the tone with an energetic performance, delivering a mix of original tracks including Friends + Tax, Still Go Dance, La La, and Bad Gyal Szn. She also kept the crowd engaged with covers of songs by Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Tanya Stephens, and Dexta Daps.

“Tracks & Records was on fire, and Aidonia and Amanyea absolutely delivered. The combination of world-class entertainment, premium brand partnership, and unmatched audience energy made this installment of Appleton Estate Live Wire truly exceptional,” said Mark Telfer, Customer and Channel Marketing Manager.

He added, “Patrons enjoyed an evening that blended music, lifestyle, and celebration, with Appleton Estate reinforcing its commitment to supporting authentic Jamaican entertainment experiences.”

Building on the success of this staging, Appleton Estate Live Wire will now expand islandwide, with its next stop set for Plantation Smokehouse in St. Ann on August 5.

The Live Wire team also expressed their enthusiasm following the highly successful event: “We are incredibly pleased with the turnout and energy at Tracks & Records. We want to thank Aidonia for an outstanding performance and all the patrons who came out to support. This is exactly the kind of vibrant experience we aim to create, and we’re excited to bring Live Wire to more audiences across the island in the coming months”, said Carlton Davy, Lead promoter of Live Wire Events.

The success of the April 30 staging underscores the continued momentum of Appleton Estate Live Wire as a major platform for live performances and unforgettable nightlife experiences.
