Greetings Chy Hive,

It’s been a minute and I miss y’ll, but it was family day on Saturday (May 15) and a sis needed a break!

Often, we get so caught up in the cares of the world and the different social media platforms, especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic, that we forget to connect with the ones closest to us.

I didn’t do that this past weekend, I felt the need to connect, especially after hearing my little princess cousin, Arya saying, “SaChina, when are you coming over, I miss you!”

Me and Arya.

Those words resonated with me the entire week, therefore last weekend was not going to pass without me seeing my family.

Adventure can wait!

Upon arriving at the family house, I was greeted with warm welcomes, kisses, hugs and declarations of love from my family around me.

All this time I got so caught up with popular trends, I was missing out on this love?? #DamnDaniel

Me and Rajani.

I felt a glimmer of light inside me brewing like beer when they all bombarded me!

I even got to see ‘Egg head’, my bestie male cousin, Rajani, who spent every minute by my side…. it felt so unusual but familiar at the same time.

We traded stories, secrets, all while laughing through the controversial topics trending globally.

Of course, I had to make my way around the house, to give everyone their special greetings.

So far, you’ve met Princess Arya, Bestie Rajani and now my beary, Rajesh ….

Rajesh is the smartest, kindest, wittiest kid ever. His cheeky comebacks have me like … pending!

Hey Rajesh, I know your secret, muahaha!

I’ve found a comeback Chy Hive- ^_^

Me and Rajeesh.

These amazing kids are the products of parents, Rajeeve and Anya Singh, whose labour clearly didn’t go in vain.

Rajeeve and Anya Singh.

The weekend didn’t include what most of you expected, but my loving family, they were ‘fabulous’ to me.

Might I say, guys, reconnect with your family, well, the ones that have your best interest at heart.

Take the time out to see them, life is short so #YOLO with trusted loved ones.

The aim is for us to identify what’s important to us and prioritize it.

The weekend was filled with so much love, but it was also bitter-sweet trodding down memory lane, like many of you have experienced, right?

Ya’ll homegirl was out here busting tears, both of happiness and sadness, but that’s life, right?

A cycle of phases we go through and get past. Cheers to Life

Xoxo
