Living the Fabulous Life with Chy: You’re not alone

Greetings Chy Hive,

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? 

Well, I’m back and swinging with a quick update about this thing called ‘life.’

Recently, a few of my friends opened up to me about going through different mental struggles, which led to profoundly deep explanations about how these silent battles were affecting them.

Life is a learning/growing process.

Of course, listening to each of my friends and their different stories, opened my eyes to what the problem really is – experiencing mental struggles and staying silent about it.

Now, I am no therapist nor psychiatrist, however, my friends and myself experienced the same ‘silence’.

We all experienced different mental battles, however, we all kept silent about it and the silence damaged us; therefore, leaving us isolated and feeling alone.

Have any of you experienced these feelings, Chy Hive?

Well, if you have, know that you’re not alone.

I realised how much of us are inflicted with these mental struggles.

However, most aren’t strong enough or are afraid to say out loud, “I need help.”

So, the thought now becomes: “Why keep quiet, if we are all going through the same cares of this world?”

Staying quiet potentially leads to negative impacts, like inflicting self-hurt or suicidal thoughts, maybe?

Chy Hive, I want you all to know it is okay to feel down today, tomorrow and the day after that, as long as you push yourself to get back up.

It’s on you and it’s on me to rise like the phoenixes we are!

I, personally, feel strong and empowered acknowledging the fact that I am inflicted with negative thoughts.

As a way forward, I actively and constantly remind myself of what I have going on for me and not what’s going against me.

Chy being grateful for life

Making that list made me realise that I had more to be grateful for than to make me sad.

To make mental battles more colourful for you, it is like saying most days the brain feels like it is filled with more darkness than light, but the more determined you are, the more you push, the better you’ll be.

Take it from me.

So, yea, I have been going through it, but though it’s raining outside, (literally) I am smiling on the inside.

Make that list today of what you have going on for you and what you have going against.

Focus on the positives, and try to eradicate the negatives, though easier said than done, remember it is not impossible.
