Lucky Dollar Furniture and Appliance Store opens 13th branch with new Old Harbour location

Lucky Dollar has expanded its footprint locally with the opening of its 13th Lucky Dollar store in Old Harbour, St Catherine.

The branch was officially launched on Friday (March 17) with a launch event at the store’s 24 South Street location. Featuring set ups from Cals Manufacturing, OJ Koolers, Edge Chem paints, Fanciful Bakery, and other Old Harbour business interests, the store was officially inaugurated.

The store officially opened its doors in Jamaica on West Parade in 2007 and has since then grown to 13 branches across major town centers islandwide. The brand operates in Spanish Town, May Pen, Mandeville, Spaulding, Santa Cruz, Savanna-la-mar, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, Morant Bay, Half-Way Tree, Kings Street and Portmore. Known for quality and affordable furniture, appliances, and electronics the brand has expanded to include an automotive category with AKT motorbikes.

Also present was Custos of St Catherine, Icylin Golding, who said: “We are proud to see new businesses entering the community of Old Harbour as it represents promise for the citizens in the community and its environs. Our young people will have continued hope that despite the challenges in the community and Jamaica at large opportunities are available through gainful employment.”
