Lynk, Jamaica’s digital wallet and currently the only digital wallet that will be able to transact Jam-Dex currency, is all about making connections and growing communities.

With this mantra at the forefront, the company is excited to announce its first ever islandwide roadshow.

The six-week campaign, dubbed ‘Mek Di Lynk’, will see Lynk representatives connecting everyday people and business owners through instant digital transactions, thereby creating an islandwide digital ecosystem that will completely change the way we Jamaicans live day-to-day and do business.

The roadshow kicks off this Saturday (June 4), in Portmore, making stops in Greater Portmore Shopping Centre, Naggo’s Head and Portmore Mall.

“At Lynk, we are dedicated to truly making this an app for Jamaicans by Jamaicans. What better way to achieve this than to go in our communities across the island; really tap into their needs and supporting, encouraging and inspiring individuals along their personal and professional journeys of digital transformation,” shared Lynk’s chief growth officer, Denise Williams.

“Portmore is one of our most vibrant and densely populated cities – it is buzzing with young upcoming and established professionals and has a large percentage of digital nomads of all ages. We see this as the perfect opportunity to kick off our islandwide efforts which not only mobilise and create growth opportunities for Lynk, but most importantly, for our everyday Jamaicans,” she continued.

The ‘Mek Di Lynk’ tour is geared towards truly understanding the needs of ‘Lynkies’, as users are called, educating the public around the importance of financial inclusion and transformation in the fintech space while supporting small businesses and partnering with communities to support projects that matter to them.

After a second stop in St Catherine on June 11, the movement will continue west, with stops being in Clarendon and Manchester on June 18 followed by Westmoreland and St Elizabeth on June 25.

Current and potential Lynkies in St James and Trelawny can look out for the team on July 2, before the good vibes come back home in Kingston on July 7.

“As one of the leaders in Jamaica’s FinTech revolution, Lynk prides itself on listening to and learning from our customers about what matters most to them. With help from our Lynkies, we have evolved our app to meet their lifestyles and elevate their financial and business needs, and will continue to do so,” Williams shared.

“With just a phone and their Lynk app, customers choose how and when they transfer cash, pay for goods and services, and top up their phone credit. We are especially proud to empower everyday Jamaicans; micro-business owners, roadside vendors, hustlers, taxi operators, artists, musicians; anyone who is trying to achieve success and make their dreams come true.”

The roadshow will give Lynkies the opportunity to ‘Mek di Lynk’ while enjoying good music and winning lots of prizes and surprises.
