Lynk partners with Dream Entertainment as official digital wallet for Xodus Carnival

/ Our Today

Lynk, Jamaica’s leading digital wallet, the only digital wallet to currently accept Jam-Dex transactions, has entered into a partnership with Dream Entertainment as the official digital wallet for Xodus Carnival – providing revellers and participants of Xodus with safe, accessible and easy payment solutions during the carnival season.

With the goal of becoming the payment partner of choice for Jamaica’s entertainment industry and among partygoers, organisers and vendors in the sector, Lynk has started the process through this partnership with Xodus to onboard key carnival players as they work towards a cashless carnival in the future.

“Lynk is working with organisations across Jamaica, like Dream Entertainment through this partnership with Xodus Carnival to deepen the concept of a cashless society, and, in this case, cashless entertainment events. Revellers and patrons will be able to enjoy benefits including $1.5 million in discounts to revellers, redeemable at Lynk merchants and ticket giveaways to TailGate, Remedy and a carnival experience,” said Kemoi Burke, brand and communications manager at Lynk.

“Revellers will also be able to purchase discounted products and services from carnival related merchants like V-Kut Stocking by Kandi through the Lynk app.”

Participants in Xodus-related activities will be able to download and register for the app at the costume redemption centre in order to begin enjoying the benefits of a cashless carnival including discount vouchers for Lynk merchants, and, on Carnival Sunday, Lynk will have a truck on the road and a viewing deck at the NCB Knutsford Branch parking lot that revellers can access.

Scott Dunn, managing director of Dream Entertainment, shared: “We are excited to be back on the road for Xodus Carnival this Sunday, July 10 and to have Lynk on board as the official digital wallet for all Xodus Carnival activities, providing our revellers with more convenience, safety and easy access to purchase tickets and supporting our carnival related merchants.”

Burke continued: “We are infusing new technology in payment platforms across Jamaica and helping to build a cashless economy to introduce: Convenience (no need to carry cash, all you really need is your phone), Increased Safety (be safe as you party) and access to more via the Lynk network – our app gives you access to a broad range of micro-merchants and payment solutions including bill payments and mobile top-ups.”
