The BOOT Group of Companies has broken ground on BOOT 2, a landmark commercial development in Drax Hall, St. Ann, that will expand the brand’s footprint and strengthen the parish’s role as one of Jamaica’s fastest-growing commercial hubs.
The 68,819 square-foot, four-storey complex, designed by architect Leighton Hamilton, will feature a supermarket, a Wendy’s franchise, cinemas, fine dining, professional offices, and retail spaces.
The development will also include underground parking, a pedestrian bridge linking BOOT 1 and BOOT 2, and upgrades to the surrounding highway corridor, including WIFI-enabled bus stops. Construction is expected to be completed in 18 months.
Alexcia Boothe, BOOT chief executive, said the project reflects the company’s commitment to creating spaces that go beyond traditional service stations.
“BOOT 2 is about building communities and enhancing convenience. It will create opportunities, jobs, and a lifestyle experience that serves families, entrepreneurs, and visitors,” she noted.
Delivering the keynote address, Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness praised the project as an example of Jamaican entrepreneurship driving national growth.

“BOOT 2 reflects vision and belief in Jamaica’s potential. Developments like this align with our plans for road expansion, economic prosperity, and job creation,” he said.
Water Minister Matthew Samuda highlighted the government’s J$200 million investment in water upgrades for the area, underscoring its commitment to supporting large-scale private sector projects.
BOOT 2 is expected to create hundreds of jobs during construction and operation, with commercial spaces ranging from 700 to 15,000 square feet, marketed by Coldwell Banker Jamaica Realty. The project aligns with the Government of Jamaica’s Vision 2030 plan, reinforcing BOOT’s role as a national leader in integrated service hubs.
With new projects planned for Montego Bay in 2026 and another major site in 2027, BOOT is advancing a growth strategy that continues its promise of “everything you need in one BOOT.”
