Lynk partnered with The Franklyn Town Community Development Project to create an inspiring Labour Day initiative aimed at transforming the community centre, home to a well-loved football field and netball court.

In an act of support, Lynk generously sponsored JMD $250,000 towards the project, making the contribution seamlessly and instantly via the Lynk digital wallet.

On Labour Day, the spirit of unity was palpable as volunteers from Lynk actively participated in a wide range of tasks, including painting, gardening, landscaping, electrical work, welding, and general cleanup. Working hand in hand with dedicated community members, this collaborative effort sought to breathe new life into Franklyn Town, leaving a lasting impact on its residents.

The significance of this project extends beyond the immediate community. St. Andrew South Eastern, the constituency encompassing Franklyn Town, was one of the fortunate beneficiaries of JAM-DEX payments facilitated by Lynk’s digital wallet during the Constituency Development Funds Christmas Work programme in December 2022. By further nurturing this relationship and expanding Lynk’s presence in the community, this project exemplifies its commitment to nation-building and community development.

Here are some photo highlights from the joint Labour Day initiative which show the unwavering spirit of Franklyn Town, the dedication of the volunteers, and the positive impact that can be achieved when organisations and communities unite towards a common goal.
