A 24-year-old man has been charged in connection with a gun attack on Hill Avenue, Kingston 11, earlier this year that left a 14-year-old girl dead and two other people injured.

The accused has been identified as David King, otherwise called ‘Dado’ and ‘Breadback’, of no fixed address.

Reports from the Hunts Bay Police are that about 1:45 pm on Thursday, April 17, persons were standing along the roadway when a Nissan Note motor car drove up. King allegedly opened fire on the group, hitting three people. They were taken to hospital, where the teenager, identified as Terona ‘Tee-Tee Thomas, a student of the Pembroke Hall High School, was pronounced dead.

King was later shot and injured during an unrelated incident in St Ann on Saturday, September 6. Investigators subsequently linked him to the Hill Avenue shooting.

He has since been charged with murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, using a firearm to commit a felony, and two counts of wounding with intent.

His court date is being finalised.
