Man charged with robbing schoolchildren on Molynes Road

Eighteen-year-old Kamar Neil has been charged with two counts of robbery with aggravation following an incident on Molynes Road in St Andrew on Thursday, September 19.

Reports from the Half-Way Tree police are that at about 3:30 pm, some children were walking along the roadway when they were pounced upon by masked men.

The men—armed with machetes, scissors, and knives—proceeded to rob them.

A report was made to the police and two men were arrested and pointed out during an identification parade.

Neil—a resident of Carpenter Road, Kingston 10—was subsequently charged on Friday, September 26 in the presence of his attorney.

His conspirator is awaiting charges.

Neil’s court date is being finalised.
