Manchester City has secured the signature of Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi for £20 million.
The England international, who had been linked with several top European clubs and nearly joined Liverpool last summer, was set to be out of contract at the end of this season. Guehi completed his medical on Sunday and has signed a five and a half year deal with City.
A product of the Chelsea academy, Guehi joined Palace from Swansea in 2021 and quickly became a key figure, racking up 188 appearances, including 33 this season during Palace’s first-ever Conference League campaign.
His arrival comes shortly after City strengthened their attack with the £62.5 million signing of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth earlier this month.
