Manchester United’s (for the time being) Cristiano Ronaldo.

After an explosive interview with English journalist Piers Morgan, world football star and Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo may get the boot from the club, with lawyers looking to have him dismissed without being paid another penny.

In the interview, Ronaldo said he had no respect for Manchester United coach Eric ten Hag and that the club as a whole had gone backwards since Sir Alex Ferguson departed and has since been poorly managed.

“I have no respect for him (ten Hag) because he doesn’t show respect for me,” said Ronaldo during the interview.

Ronaldo, who is paid £500,000 per week, is now in Qatar preparing for the upcoming World Cup with the Portugal national team.

According to Britain’s Guardian newspaper, Ronaldo has been told not to return to Manchester United’s training ground, Carrington, after the World Cup.

Manchester United is weighing its legal options and its lawyers believe they have a strong case for breach of contract due to the bombshell interview, one for which he was not given permission by his employers to do.

DETRACTORS BELIEVE RONALDO SHOULD ACCEPT A BIT PLAYER ROLE

Ronaldo claimed that certain people in the club want him out and that they have no respect for his talent and the glory he has brought to the club.

At 37, many of his detractors say he is passed it and must resign himself to becoming a bit player who occasionally comes off the bench.

But last year, he was Manchester United’s top scorer with 24 goals and maintains his standards and abilities have not dropped.

His friend and old team mate, Rio Ferdinand, said: “I don’t feel the club will take him back and I don’t think that he wants to come back.”

Wayne Rooney, Manchester United’s top goal scorer in the club’s history, added: “What I’ve said is age comes to all of us. Cristiano is finding it hard to deal with that.”
