Manning’s School and Glenmuir High captured the rural ISSA/Mighty Malt Rural Under-16 and ISSA/Burger King U14 titles at the St Elizabeth Technical High School on Tuesday.

Westmoreland-based Manning’s School came from two goals down to beat Clarendon College 3-2 and retained their Under-16 title while Glenmuir High of Clarendon edged Manchester High 1-0.

Justin Hayles gave Clarendon College a 13th-minute lead before Lashaun Harris doubled the advantage in minute 51.

But Manning’s School rallied strongly as Rajon Mckenzie pulled one back in the 59th minute before Dainton Williams equalised in the 76th and just two minutes later, Geovanni Pinnock found the clincher in the 78th minute.

Earlier, Glenmuir gave the parish of Clarendon something to cheer about winning the Under-14 crown with a late goal from Justin Francis that broke Manchester’s resistance and their hearts.
