President and CEO of the Massy Group, Gervase Warner, is leaving the distribution conglomerate in April on early retirement.
The Trinidad and Tobago-based regional distribution company announced today that Warner is to proceed on retirement, effective April 6, 2024. No explanation was given for the sudden move but already a replacement for him has been identified.
Warner will be replaced by executive vice president and executive chairman, integrated retail portfolio, David Affonso, effective April 6. In addition to assuming the role of president and group CEO of Massy, Affonso will also be continuing in his current role.
The chairman and the board of directors of Massy Group thanked Warner for his many years of dedicated service to the group. Massy and Warner was embroiled in controversy after accusations of questionable spending by recently resigned executive vice-president for business integrity and group general counsel, Angélique Parisot-Potter.
However, the management is insisting that it did nothing wrong and that the accusations are without merit.
