Mavado’s son, Dante Brooks, released after court overturns murder conviction

Dancehall icon Mavado’s son, Dante Brooks, has reportedly been released from prison after the Court of Appeal overturned his 2021 conviction for the 2018 murder of Lorenzo Thomas.

Brooks, who was sentenced to life in prison and ordered to serve 22 years before becoming eligible for parole, is now free following the Court of Appeal ruling.

According to reports, his co-accused, Andre Hines, who also received a life sentence, has been released as well.
