ISSA Trust Foundations ‘For the Children’ Charity Gala event is back and with the backing of investment brokerage, Mayberry Investments Limited.

With the aim to raising funds for the construction of a healthcare facility that will specifically cater to children and adolescents, Mayberry Investments thought it essential to join this immensely rewarding initiative.

The event, which is slated for November 12, will be held at the Sony Hall in Manhattan, New York, under the patronage of Member of Parliament Juliet Holness and under the auspices of Alison Roach-Wilson, the consul general of Jamaica in New York.

“We are most passionate about our youth and, so, we must ensure that they are afforded the best possible life at their disposal; if that means constructing a child and adolescent healthcare centre solely for their use, that is exactly what we will do.”

Mayberry Investments has supported numerous philanthropic initiatives throughout the years. With one of the company’s philosophies being geared towards the enhancement of the lives of young people, the company always seeks to support opportunities that will enhance the lives of children and teens.

“This continuous partnership with the ISSA Trust Foundation shows our commitment to community development and how seriously we take our corporate social responsibility. We are most passionate about our youth and, so, we must ensure that they are afforded the best possible life at their disposal; if that means constructing a child and adolescent healthcare centre solely for their use, that is exactly what we will do,” stated Dan Theoc, vice president of investment banking.

Issa Trust Foundation Chairman Paul Issa remarks that, “with this being the foundation’s third event, it was important for us to have the New York Diaspora involved. It has been challenging, but we have a beautiful venue, with great acts performing, and it’s going to be a wonderful dinner with great cocktails, and so I am confident that the gala will be a success”.

Since its inception, the ISSA Trust Foundation has consistently given back to children and adolescents, but on a smaller scale.

However, the Foundation has committed to a large-scale operation for this endeavour.

“The gala will benefit the most vulnerable of our society, our children. Therefore, Mayberry Investments Limited remains committed to its longstanding relationship with the Foundation,” Theoc added.

In recollection of the company’s past partnerships with the ISSA Trust Foundation, Theoc continued to say: “When we were approached to come on board, the immediate decision of the chairman was that we had to lend our support. As nation builders, it is imperative that we join hearts and hands with the foundation, and with ISSA having been at it for 17 years, the company had to play its part in advancing the welfare of Jamaicans. This event is going to raise much-needed funds that will facilitate a major development that will benefit the nation.”

PREVIOUSLY RAISED FUNDS FOR PAEDIATRIC WARD AT ST ANN’S BAY HOSPITAL

Theoc also applauded the other sponsors, who have decided to join this worthy cause and expressed that the company is tremendously grateful for the support and contributions received from all the sponsors.

“We support their brands, they support us as investment managers, and together we’re supporting the growth and development of Jamaica,” Theoc commented.

The ISSA Foundation has previously raised funds for the paediatric ward at the St Ann’s Bay Hospital and other charities it has undertaken. As such, Mayberry remains dedicated to this project with the goal of ensuring that Jamaica’s most vulnerable groups are supported and cared for, as the Foundation’s mission parallels that of Mayberry.
