Mayor Belnavis recovering after being attacked at home

The Mayor of St Ann’s Bay and Chairman of the St Ann Municipal Corporation Michael Belnavis has been released from hospital and is recovering.

The Mayor sought treatment after he was attacked by an unknown assailant at his residence on Monday and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

“He is expected to get better soon and is thankful for the outpouring of good wishes,” Senator Abka Fitz-Henley of the Jamaica Labour Party Communication Taskforce said in a statement.
