All daCosta Cup selectee Devone Davis of McGrath High School stole the show in the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League notching a hattrick as Molynes United whipped Vere United 5-0.
Molynes United is coached by Jermaine Thomas, also the coach of McGrath High and he brought his prodigy Davis to top-flight football and he delivered.
Davis, who scored what looked like the winning goal in the daCosta Cup final for a long time before McGrath lost on penalties, punished Vere United, netting in the 32nd, 48th and 62nd minutes for a most welcomed victory for the struggling Molynes United.
Veteran Jason Wright (74th) and an own-goal by Damion Thomas (83rd) propelled Molynes United to just their fourth win from 15 games and climbed off the bottom of table into 11th spot on 13 points.
Vere United, coached by Craig Butler and Lenny Hude of Mona High and Clarendon College fame, were suffering their eighth loss from 15 games and they slipped a spot to 12th on 13 points.
Tivoli Gardens also found their scoring boots swamping Humble Lion 5-1 on the back of two goals by Anthony Nelson who netted in the 39th and 71st minutes. Kavan Wilson had opened the floodgate for Tivoli Gardens in the 29th minute and seconds later Trevaugn McKain doubled the advantage in the 29th minute. Afiba Chambers reduced the deficit for Humble Lion in minute 69 but Rodico Wellington put the icing on the cake in minute 87 for an emphatic victory.
The Jerome Waite-coached Tivoli Gardens are seventh on 19 points while Humble Lion slipped to the bottom of the pile in the 14th spot with 10 points.

Former champions Waterhouse’s inconsistent season continued losing their third game to be in fifth spot on 26 points.
At the Harbour View Mini-Stadium, Montego Bay United edged Harbour View 1-0 courtesy of a Brain Brown strike in the 85th minute and remained in third spot on 31 points. The poor run of Harbour View saw them dropped into the relegation zone in 13th spot on 12 points suffering their ninth defeat in 15 games.
Caribbean champions Cavalier battled to a 1-1 draw with Portmore United at the Ferdie Neita Park to be in fourth spot on 27 points.
