#MeganTheeGraduate: Rapper ‘Hot Girl Meg’ now officially a degree-holder

American rapper Megan Thee Stallion has now officially added college graduate to her ever growing repertoire, after the Savage hitmaker on Saturday (December 11), graduated from the Texas Southern University.

The 26-year-old now holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Health Administration, a longstanding goal she followed through with, in honour of her late mother.

“I want to get my degree because I really want my mom to be proud. She saw me going to school before she passed,” Megan said earlier this year.

Dressed in the customary gown and cap, the rapper shared the moment with her 27 million-strong fanbase. Prior to the beginning of the ceremony, the Good News artiste took to Twitter and Instagram to share the streaming link for the TSU graduation with the caption, “Hotties you can watch me graduate today starting at 12:00 here.”

Fellow celebrities including Gabrielle Union, Lizzo, JuicyJ all shared congratulatory messages with the star.

Multinational cosmetics company Revlon, which collaborated with Megan Thee Stallion in July, also commented under one of the star’s Instagram posts saying “You are AMAZING!! Congrats.”

Thee Stallion uploaded images on Monday, of celebrations of her most recent feat with friends and boyfriend Pardi Fontaine.

“Still not over the fact that I can finally say I’m a college graduate👏 A HBCU COLLEGE GRADUATE 🐯 Thank you to my friends and family for supporting me this whole time bc without y’all I would have lost my mind,” she captioned the post.

In her honour, the restaurant the rapper dined, tailored a cocktail menu just for her.

Thee Stallion expressed her post-graduation plan of wanting to open an assisted-living facility, detailing that she would use the funds she makes from her flourishing career to first start the lifelong dream, then have her classmates deal with the day-to-day operations.

“I really wanted to be an administrator over a hospital, but I knew I still wanted to be Megan Thee Stallion. I was like, ‘What can I do?’ I was like, you know what, I’m gonna open an assisted-living facility and use the money that I make from rapping to open it. Then I’m gonna let my classmates run it.”
