The Meteorological Service of Jamaica has issued a flash flood warning for low-lying and flood-prone areas in all parishes.

This warning remains in effect until 5:00 pm today (June 5).

According to the Met Office, the flash flood warning indicates that flooding has been reported or is expected to occur shortly.

The warning comes as a tropical wave is anticipated to move within the vicinity of Jamaica this evening through Thursday.

Persistent cloudy conditions, intermittent showers, and thunderstorms are expected across sections of most parishes, primarily occurring in the afternoons for the remainder of the week.
