
SEED, a microcredit institution in Jamaica, has received its license to operate from the Bank of Jamaica, as announced in a press release on Thursday (April 27).
Led by Michael Lee-Chin Jr., the team at SEED comprises experienced professionals in the financial, technological, and marketing/communications fields.
Lee-Chin Jr. expressed his gratitude to the Bank of Jamaica for working with SEED to bring their vision to fruition.

He stated that receiving the license was just the first step in the company’s vision to provide credit to those in need. He also emphasized SEED’s commitment to help Jamaican communities by planting seeds in hardworking people.
“This is the culmination of many people’s efforts, and I want to thank the Bank of Jamaica for working with us to bring this dream to fruition,” said Lee-Chin jr.
SEED’s mission is to provide financial support to those who are underserved by traditional financial institutions. With their license now in hand, SEED is ready to make an impact in Jamaica.
