The well-anticipated match between YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul and boxing icon Mike Tyson is suffering in ticket sales.

The match-up between the odd pairing was supposed to take place early in the year, but it was postponed due to Tyson discovering a bleeding stomach ulcer. The match will now be held on Friday, November 15, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and will also be aired live on Netflix.

Both Paul and Tyson hope to fill the 80,000-capacity stadium, so promoters have reduced ticket prices by fifty per cent to attract a larger crowd with more affordable options. They had originally expected the seats to be sold out by this time.

Tickets now start at just US$30 on SeatGeek, with most listed for around US$37 for the 80,000-seat venue. However, premium ringside seats remain costly, priced at US$50,000 each. For those seeking an ultra-exclusive experience, MVP introduced a US$2-million VIP package back in May, which includes two ‘apron seats’ with unmatched access to the event.

From its inception, many have dubbed the match-up between Paul and Tyson to be a gimmick match and a money grab, as Tyson (58) going up against Paul (27) seems predictable from all angles. Paying for tickets, petrol and snacks to watch a match you either think will end in fake results, much like WWE Raw, or end with Paul winning, due to his age advantage feels like a waste of time and effort to some.
