
Veteran journalist Milton Walker, of the RJRGLEANER Communications Group, was elected president of the Press Association of Jamaica (PAJ), replacing George Davis, who served for two consecutive terms.
Walker was the sole nominee for the top position at the group’s annual general meeting held on Sunday (September 11) at the PAJ’s headquarters in St Andrew.
Walker is the group head of news, sports and current affairs at the RJRGLEANER Communications Group.

The senior journalist will serve for the next two years. Walker will be assisted by Gillian Haughton and Lloyd B Smith, first and second vice-president, respectively.
Kimberley Hibbert was elected secretary; Jovan Johnson, treasurer; and Damion Mitchell, assistant secretary/treasurer.
Archibald Gordon, Jevaughn Keyes and Janella Precius will serve as directors.
