Ministry of Labour calls emergency meeting after air traffic controllers stage sick out

After several air traffic controllers called in sick last night, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security has called an emergency meeting with the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority and the Jamaica Air Traffic Controllers Association.

Reports are that several air traffic controllers called in sick for the 11 p.m. shift last night.

The meeting is set to begin at 11 a.m. this morning (June 17).

Details surrounding the reason for the staged sick out by the Air Traffic Controllers are not yet known.
