

New York-based Jamaican singer and songwriter, Minna LaFortune who mixes reggae, soca, ska, dancehall, and hip-hop influences to create uplifting and inspiring songs is promoting her upcoming debut EP “Dance with Me” Volume 1.
The musical project 10, which is to be digitally released, showcases her versatility and range with original tracks that celebrate love, nature, and dance.
It is her debut EP and promises to be the perfect gift for any occasion.

In addition to her musical prowess, LaFortune is also a chef, poet, and playwright, whose love for music was inspired by her parents.
LaFortune, who migrated to the United States (US) at 30 years of age, is a retired professional now following her lifelong dream to be a singer and recording artiste.
While in high school in Jamaica, she began her voice training.
With dreams of singing in opera and performing jazz songs, LaFortune has expressed that her current venture into reggae has been fun, joyful, and exciting.

“Because of this experience, I decided to write the song ‘Dream Big’. I now believe everyone should dream big and follow their dreams! It’s the only way to true self-fulfillment and happiness,” she said on her website.
Additionally, LaFortune may be considered to be a Jill of all trades as she is also the co-founder and president of the Society for the Advancement of the Caribbean Diaspora (SACD) as well as the founder and director of The African American Caribbean Singers Afro Carib-A singers) (1992-2003).
Her debut EP, “Dance with Me” Volume 1 will be available on all can be pre-ordered at www.minnalafortune.com and is expected to be available everywhere as of June 15, 2023.
