Road users traversing Kent Avenue in the vicinity of Sandals Montego Bay are being advised of possible delays ,starting today, February 12, due to drainage work being executed by National Works Agency (NWA).

The NWA says this is to improve the drainage feature along the roadway, which will last for the next three weeks.

Janel Ricketts, community relations officer for the NWA’s western region, says the project will target the area of the roadway in the vicinity of the service entrance to the Sandals property.

The work will involve the excavation of the trageted section of the roadway and the installation of a concrete U-drain across the roadway.

The NWA community relations officer says in an effort to reduce disruptions to traffic, the roadway will remain open during the period of work. However, sections of the road will be reduced to single-lane access.

The NWA is advising motorists to obey the posted warning signs and instruction of flag persons.
