Jamaican-Canadian model Winnie Harlow and NBA player Kyle Kuzma are engaged!
The two announced their engagement on Instagram, on Tuesday (February 18) along with pictures of the post-proposal on a private jet in Turks and Caicos.
Kyle (29) popped the question to Winnie (30) with a custom 8.5-carat ring and noted that he designed it himself.

“I never really asked her what type of ring she liked or anything. I just wanted to draw a picture of what I felt resembled her — something that was elegant, but very timeless and simplistic at the same time,” he shared.

According to Vogue, the athlete requested Harlow to sit next to him once they boarded the aircraft, and he then started reading her a poem he had written. “This would be so cute if it were an engagement,” Winnie said. “But I’m also not the type of person who wants to guess or wants to spoil a surprise. So it just was a fleeting thought in my head.”
When Kuzma performed the last line of his moving poetry, “Will you marry me?” her suspicion was validated.
The couple first met during COVID-19 in 2020.
Harlow revealed that she had initially overlooked Kuzma’s first direct message on Instagram, which would have resulted in them never meeting up. But after a little while of online dating, Harlow relocated from New York City to Los Angeles to be with Kuzma, who played for the L.A. Lakers.
