The Disciplinary Committee of the General Legal Council (GLC) has suspended Montego Bay attorney, Antoinette A. Hall from practising law in Jamaica.

She is not entitled to practice law for a period of six months, effective February 28, 2026. The order was made by a Panel from the Disciplinary Committee into a complaint brought against the attorney with law offices at Shop #1, 16 Jarrett Street, Montego Bay.

Having heard the evidence in the complaint brought against Hall, the Disciplinary Committee found her guilty of professional misconduct.

The GLC is reminding attorneys of section 20(1) of the Legal Profession Act, which reads:

“No Attorney shall, in connection with his practice as a lawyer, without the written permission of the Council, which may be given for such period and subjection to such conditions, as the Council thinks fit, employ or remunerate any person to his knowledge is disqualified from practicing as a lawyer by reason of the fact that his name has been struck off the Roll, otherwise than at his own request, or that he is suspended from practicing as a lawyer.”
