Montego Bay United extend their lead atop the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League to seven points with a 2-0 win over Phoenix Chapelton Maroons, while Racing United once again played to a 1-1 draw with Portmore United.

Nashardo Gibbs opened the scoring for Montego Bay in the 15th minute at Jarrett Park before Jourdain Fletcher doubled the advantage in the 77th minute as they moved to 42 points from 20 games.

Phoenix Chapelton, which was losing their second consecutive game, slipped two spots to the 11th position, on 22 points, just two points adrift of the last playoff spot held by Waterhouse, which clipped Mount Pleasant 1-0 at Drax Hall.

Neron Barrow scored the all-important goal in the 24th minute as Waterhouse gained a spot in eighth with 24 points.

Mount Pleasant, which was losing just their second game, remained in fourth spot on 27 points but have five games in hand, and if they win those games, it will propel them to the top of the league.

Racing United and Portmore United battled to a 1-1 draw at the Ferdie Neita Park. Nickeyle Ellis gave Racing a 33rd-minute lead, but Tariq Ximines earned a share of the points for Portmore, scoring in the 64th minute.

Racing United stayed in second spot on 35 points and are falling further behind leaders Montego Bay United on 42, while Portmore United remained in third spot on 33 points.

Tivoli Gardens stunned champions Cavalier SC  2-1 at Stadium East Complex and jumped into the sixth spot on 26 points.

Kshaine Gordon gave Cavalier an 82nd-minute lead in what must have looked like the winning goal. But Tivoli Gardens hit back decisively with two late goals. Nickalia Fuller, fresh from scoring the winner against Grenada, netted for Tivoli Gardens in the 84th before Dayne Ewans found the clincher in the 90+3 minute.

Cavalier, which have been showing inconsistent form all season, are fifth on 26, just ahead of Tivoli Gardens on goal difference.

At STETHS, Arnett Gardens and Treasure Beach played to a 1-1 draw. Jamone Shepherd gave the visiting Arnett Gardens a 24th-minute lead before Nicholas Lawrence equalised for Treasure Beach in the 40th minute.

It was a minor setback for Arnett Gardens in their pursuit of the Top Six playoff as they sit in ninth spot on 23 points, while Treasure Beach continued to inch away from the relegation zone in 12th spot on 19 points.

Harbour View slipped further into trouble following a 2-4 defeat to Dunbeholden FC, to be in the relegation zone in 13th spot on 15 points. Dunbeholden are 11th with 22 points.

Oden Pennycooke (4th), Fabian McCarthy (25th) and Damion Binns (35th, 66th) scored for Dunbeholden while Geo Headley (53rd) and Shareef Ricketts (90+4) responded for Harbour View.

In the first game at Stadium East, Molynes United and Spanish Town Police FC played to a 1-1 draw. Marlon Pennicooke gave Molynes a 12th-minute lead before Devontay Ricketts levelled the game in minute 45.

Molynes United are 10th on 22 points, while Spanish Town police remained at the bottom in 14th spot with nine points. They are 10 points away from safety to avoid relegation.
